November Road is an excellent read from a top author (Lou Berney) and perfect narrator (Johnathan McClain).

It’s a crime novel, a road trip, and a romance featuring a hunted man who is a “fixer” for the mob and a woman with her daughters escaping a dead-end marriage. It has a glimpse of 1963 history (JFK assassination), pockets of suspense, and a touch of noir and blood ‘n guts.

A totally engaging, bitter sweet, but satisfying novel.
