Write a poem every day of April with the 2024 April Poem-A-Day Challenge.
For today’s prompt, write a luck poem…good or bad.
Luck or No!
Luck, luck,
A jack-buck's foot.
A leaf of four
Two knocks on wood.
Salt thrown back
Fingers crossed
A copper penny
Bon chance!
All for naught
Or so I thought
My head is tottery
I won the lottery!
Today I found a rabbits foot
tucked away
in my closet bin…
I like to go there once in awhile
To review old memories therein.
Little mementos
that take me on journeys with…
old friends, old laughs , and some tears.
The friends have passed but the love
still lasts…
smiling through the years.

We both thought of a rabbit’s foot! Too bad it’s not very lucky for the rabbit!!
Nice poem!
