An AUDIObook Review by Jackie Houchin
This caper – and it is not a murder mystery – was intriguing, well-plotted and jaw-dropping, with touches of humor and irony and hoorahs for good old fashioned police work. Author Steve Levi must have a very sharp mind and some stunt-man experience to have written this complex, action packed story.
A passenger jet from Seattle lands at Anchorage, Alaska airport and pulls up to the docking area. Then nothing happens. Eventually a ground crew approaches the plane and enters. There is evidence of people being there – carry-on cases are still in the overhead bins and coats, magazines, and pillows are still on the seats. But there are no passengers. And no Pilot and no crew. It is empty!
No, this is not a Twilight Zone story, despite the name of the airline company which is… wait for it… Unicorn Airlines! Nothing weird or alien has happened. Really!
All the usual agencies show up to investigate the anomaly, but it takes a retired cop and an airport security woman to solve it.
You won’t believe it – I didn’t. But I totally enjoyed the book!
