I just read a really fantastic Christian fiction book… especially if you like space adventures. It’s called “Missionary to Mars” by Lucas Kitchen, and it’s full of the things of Jesus, evangelism, sharing Bible truths, salvation, and the persecution of believers..
His hero, Eustis Grimes (the name is significant later), is the last Christian believer in the entire solar system. And he possesses the very last copy of the Holy Bible. His mission is to get to Mars and share the Gospel with the people there. Meanwhile, an arch villain is hunting him, determined to brutally destroy the last Christian witness…ever. (You can guess who he represents.)
I loved Eustis’s story, courage, and determination to share Jesus with the people of Mars. He was unstoppable, courageous, and yet humble, joyful, and always giving the glory and thanks to God. I cried and praised God for joy throughout the book. My heart swelled with thanksgiving when the first person believed. WOW! Eustis’s faithfulness in persecution was amazing and strengthened me. I want to be such a witness for my Savior!
The space and sci-fi aspects of the book were perfectly written and believable, but they did not overpower the story. It was fun, exciting, suspenseful … and glorious to read! There was even a sweet, small love story.
I have already bought a copy for someone in my family who wants “to go to Mars!
thanks for this great review. It was encouraging!
