Announcing the 17th annual April Poem-A-Day Challenge on Writer’s Digest. It’s a fun annual writing challenge starting on April 1. (I’ll try.) For today’s prompt, write “an optimistic poem.
A true story by meThere once was a gal with a lump.
When first it was found, she did jump.
"Oh, my! I shall die!"
Was her terrified cry!
But a doctor cut out that bad bump.
What a cool challenge—and I’m very, very glad this poem has a happy ending.

Me too, on that happy ending! I’m not a poet, but I will attempt this challenge with short stuff.
