FIRST favorite is Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. (Most fave candy in the US, BTW!) I love the smooth milk chocolate on the outside, and the cakey peanut butter filling inside. Together, a bite is pure pleasure. The chocolate melts pretty quickly, but the filling can be pressed against the roof of my mouth, stroked with my tongue, and savored for a while. Yummy!

SECOND favorite is York Peppermint Patties. Again addiction personified. (And best when refrigerated.) The dark chocolate outside sets off the uber sweet and minty white filling perfectly. Peppermint Patties are very low on fat….. but much higher on sugar. I usually try to buy the THIN variety, so I can stretch out 5 pieces instead of only 3 of the thicker ones.
So……………….what is YOUR favorite candy? Soft and gooey or hard and lasting? Chocolate? Nuts inside?
PS: I also really like the dark chocolate Non-Parelles. (You know, flat chocolate rounds with the tiny white sprinkles on top.)
