#BLOGANUARY – What is the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it? – Day 31

#Bloganuary is a month of blog prompts/questons that WordPress uses to get us bloggers off to a good start in the new year.

Day 31 – Worse fear? What to do to shake it?

My greatest phobia is standing on the edge of things that are high.  Such as, the roofs of buildings, the edges of cliffs, the highest diving board in a public pool, high bridges (even if I have bungie-jumping cuffs on my ankles), the open doorway of an airplane (even if I have a parachute on).

You get the picture.

I’m not afraid of lots of things most people are – traveling solo in foreign countries, walking outdoors late at night, being around scary-looking people, even talking infront of an audience. But high edges…??

I guess it’s vertigo. But I’m not afraid of being high, as long as I’m not right at the edge.  And actually, I can be right at the edge, if there is a railing or wall between me and the…. terrifying vast beyond.

What would it take for me to overcome this?  Well, a push, I guess. (hahahahahah..eek!)

No. Seriously, it would take a loved one of mine being in very serious danger and the only way I could help them would be to risk my own life and jump.
