#Bloganuary is a month of blog prompts/questons that WordPress uses to get us bloggers off to a good start in the new year.
Day 19 – What makes a good leader?
To me, all the attributes of Jesus Christ “shout” good leadership.
- He led His disciples by example.
- He taught them how to do things by showing them.
- He used love and gentleness, but was stern when required.
- He was willing to jeopardize and actually lay down His life for His followers.
- He was bold in the face of the enemy.
- He was honest and good.
- He was compassionate.
- He answered their questions honestly.
- He made sure to supply all they needed.
- He had patience with his followers.
- He was kind to and respected women.
- He loved and demanded protection for children.
- His requirements for his followers were easy and light.
- And when they were hard, He prayed for them to have strength to endure.
- He was “straight up” about the dangers they would face.
- He restored gently those who failed him, eager for them to take up new orders.
- He gave them definate instructions and the “back up” they needed to follow them.
- He absolutely loved his followers.
(If you are a believer and have some knowledge of the New Testament in the Bible, see if you can connect each of the above with a scripture passage.)
