#BLOGANUARY DAY 2 – Do You “Play” in Your Daily Life?

By Jackie Houchin

#Bloganuary is a month of blog prompts that WordPress uses to get us bloggers off to a good start in the new year.   #2 Do you “play” in your daily life?  What says Playtime to you?

My game and my “name” is Solittaire.
I don’t mind being by myself. I’m comfortable with my own thoughts (most of the time) although I have a loving family and we do things together too. I like to read books and listen to them as I walk. I like to walk by myself. I even like to travel the world by myself. (I suppose you might call me selfish. Sigh.)
So my playtime game is classic Solitaire – played either with cards or digitally. I love lining up those cards in descending columns of alternating reds and blacks, and then piling them up at the top in ascending order in the same suits.
Mercy Solitaire” is an especially challenging game played with cards. And it must be played alone. *See: Hand-held Solitaire for instructions.
I even like marble Solitaire. You know, that 6-8 inch wooden board with divets in a cross or triangle pattern, full of marbles with a single empty space. You jump and remove marbles until you are out of possibilities. The goal is to have a solitary marble left. It happens now and then, but usually my best game is two or three unjumpable marbles sitting far apart.
Solitary Solitaire. That’s my game. What is yours?
