I enjoyed Joe Rigney’s take on loving God supremely and enjoying the things of earth that He gives us. It’s a matter of keeping things in perspective. We are never to let our delight in the objects, people, places, foods or feelings in our life or in the world to overpower our love, hope and worship of God. HE is supreme. Always! But as 1 Timothy 6:17b says, God is the one, “..Who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. “Perspective. God at the top of the triangle, things in their order beneath.
Throughout the book, Rigney mentions, drools over, and expounds on his wife’s Pumpkin Crunch cake. Thankfully, he includes the recipe at the end of the book!
