An Audiobook Review

This story is so well done, drawing on facts from Scripture and seamlessly weaving a historical narrative around them. I love how candid it was. And I loved the richness. The authors weave in the actions and teachings of Jesus, as well as the movements and words of Paul, Barnabas, and Peter (and his wife), and, of course, Mark’s story from when he was a boy, and the Last Supper with Jesus and the disciples took place at his house. (He witnesses the crucifixion and the martyrdom of James, Stephen, Peter, and Paul.)

At the end of Mark’s “story” (including what tradition says about his ministry in Africa and his death), The Gospel of Mark is printed in its entirety. (Throughout the book, much of Peter’s two letters, and some of Paul’s works, are also printed out.)

I highly recommend the audiobook!  The same reader does all four Gospels, and he is excellent.
I’ve listened to John’s and Matthew’s stories. After Mark, there is only Luke, which I will begin next.

Truly.  Read (or better yet, listen to) these books.  If you are a Christian or not, you will be blessed.
